How to make the simplest pasta sauce!

This pasta sauce is a quick sauce for one. You can have it when you just want a portion for yourself and don't want to open a whole can of tomatoes!  It is tasty and easy to do. Anyway here we go!!

Equipment:

A  bowl
A fork
A microwave

Ingredients:

3 tablespoons of tomato puree.
3/4 tablespoons of warm/boiling water
1 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of  black pepper
1 teaspoon of mixed herbs/ herbs de provence
1/2 teaspoon of garlic
Chilli paste/hot sauce (this is entirely optional and add only if you want a 'kick')
You can obviously add more and less of the spices if you want but this is just a rough guide.

Method:

The first thing you have to do is put your pasta/spaghetti on:)

1. Put the tomato paste in the bowl and give a quick mix to smooth it out.

2. Now, you want to add in the salt and spices ( black pepper, herbs and garlic). You should add the chilli paste/sauce now as well, if desired.

3. Next you want to whisk (with a fork) the ingredients to make a thick paste.

4. Add water to the paste until you get the consistency desired.

My consistency was like this...

5. You may want to add some more spices as adding water will obviously water the taste down. When you've done that microwave this on full power for 2 minutes. Have a break between each minute and mix then put it back in for a minute.

6. This is the best bit, serve and enjoy! Bon appetit!

How simple was that!  Annia-x-
