Equipment:
A glass bowl
A pan
A spoon
A tray and grease proof paper
Ingredients:
1 bar of chocolate
Strawberries - just one pack (roughly, there are 20 in a pack)
Method:
1. First you want to break up your chocolate and melt your chocolate your chocolate on a double boiler (if you don't know what this is then check my blog post for my truffles, as I explain on there). It should look like this...
2. Wash your strawberries...:)
3. Melt the chocolate until its smooth and creamy like this...
4. Dry the strawberries and dip then into the chocolate. me sure you cover the entire strawberry evenly but don't go all the way up to stalk or you wont have anything to hold onto when you take them out of the bowl.
5. Drip off the excess chocolate so you can prevent having a big chocolate disc around the bottom of the strawberry.
6. Place the strawberry on the grease proof paper and repeat steps 4 and 5 until you've used up all the strawberries and eat the remaining chocolate!:)
7. Put these in the fridge for about an hour or so (leave in for longer if needed). Make sure they are firm, they should be hard and solid on the outside and sweets and juicy in the inside. They should look like this....
Sorry that isn't a very good picture but you get what i'm saying! A nice twist is to layer the bottom of the strawberry in white chocolate! Anyway have fun and enjoy:* Annia -x-
