Step 1: Take out all of the contents your wardrobe and put them on a (clean) floor or bed.
Step 2: Sort out the clothes into three piles: Keep, chuck and wash. To help you chuck things away analyze your clothes. Here are some simple questions to help you do so:
- Do I like this?
- Have I worn this in the last six months?
- Does this even fit me? (ha ha, I find this one particularly funny and I don't know why)
Step 3: Sort your clothes into piles of: tops, jumpers, trousers, underwear etc. If you have shelves in your wardrobe then put each piles into one of those but if you just have a rail then organize them with the piles next to each other like this...
Yannia. You could also hang all your clothes up and put the hanger the wrong way around. Then, whenever you wear anything you simply turn the hanger the other way. After a year see what you've not worn for a year and chuck it.
